Revolution add winger Jack Harrison as designated player

The Revolution introduced its newest signing, winger Jack Harrison, before it faced Atlanta United on Saturday evening. He received a warm round of applause from the Gillette Stadium crowd.

Harrison, 29, joins the Revolution from Leeds United via transfer, and will become a Designated Player in Major League Soccer roster terms. The deal runs through the 2029-30 season, pending receipt of Harrison’s P-1 visa and international transfer certificate.

Born in England, Harrison has a local tie in his background after attending Berkshire School in Sheffield, where he was the high school Gatorade National Player of the Year in 2015.

Having also spent time in the Liverpool and Manchester United academies, Harrison was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft. After two seasons with New York City FC, Harrison left for Europe. He collected the largest number of games playing for Leeds, also making recent loan stops at Everton and Fiorentina.

Coming to the Revolution, Harrison should add a dynamism to their attack that has been missing at times in 2026. Though New England has gotten off to a good start in 2026 — currently fourth place in the Eastern Conference — it has only scored 22 goals in 15 games with limited production from several attacking players.
