Vance to deliver remarks on administration’s anti-fraud efforts during visit to Bangor, Maine, on Thursday
Vice President JD Vance is scheduled to deliver remarks Thursday in Bangor, Maine, during a visit focused on the Trump administration’s efforts to combat fraud, according to Vance’s office and the White House.

The event is set to take place at BGR Aviation FBO at Bangor International Airport. Doors are scheduled to open at 9:30 a.m., with the program beginning at 11:30 a.m., and Vance’s remarks slated for 12:30 p.m., according to the White House.
No further details about the visit were released. Requests for comment were sent to Vance’s office, the Maine Republican Party, and Bangor police.
In a statement, the Bangor airport warned travelers of possible traffic delays during Vance’s visit Thursday.

“At this time, we expect minimal disruption to scheduled domestic flight operations, and we will update the traveling public with more information once it is available,” the airport said.
Officials encouraged travelers to allow extra time to and from the airport.
Vance held the first meeting of a new anti-fraud task force he is leading for the Trump administration in late March. Before that meeting, Vance told reporters that the federal government for decades had not taken the issue of fraud seriously and that it needed to be tackled with “a whole-government approach.”
Vance visited Iowa last week, where he promoted the administration’s tax and tariff policies and attacked Democrats on issues of immigration and fraud. The Iowa visit also provided Vance an opportunity to gauge how he connects with Republican voters in the state, which plays an influential role in the presidential nominating process.
