There\u2019s something to build around with the pitching and defense and I know [Craig Breslow] and the guys are hard at work on fixing the offense.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Getting Roman Anthony back in the lineup would be a welcome sight for the Red Sox\u2019 lineup moving forward, although his recovery timeline from a sprained ligament in his right ring finger seems to have hit a snag in recent days. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/bostonrelocationinsider.com\/?p=877\">Democrats release contentious autopsy of 2024 presidential campaign<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span>Still, Boston has started to show signs of waking up at the plate \u2014 scoring seven runs on Tuesday and another four during Wednesday\u2019s victory at Kauffman Stadium.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Epstein helped construct several contending clubs during his standout career as a baseball executive \u2014 including a third World Series title with the Cubs in 2016.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u200bDuring his podcast appearance, the 52-year-old Epstein stressed that trust is one of the key components of building a sustainable, contending team in Major League Baseball. \u200b<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cAs someone who\u2019s putting a team together or trying to build a championship organization, there\u2019s nothing more important than players that ultimately you can trust to do a myriad of things,\u201d Epstein said. \u201cOne \u2014 players that you can trust to put the team first, put the team interest, the collective interest, organizational interests, sometimes above their own individual interests. \u2026 That kind of trust is hugely important, and it cuts both ways, too. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cIt\u2019s just so important that you\u2019re honest with your feedback, you\u2019re honest in contract negotiations, you\u2019re honest with where [players] stand, you\u2019re honest about their development, and that\u2019s where individual player development plans came from, and making sure you document the feedback, and that there\u2019s buy-in, and that type of honesty is what\u2019s essential to building trust that goes both ways and is mutual,\u201d he added. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cIf you have it going both directions, if you have players that you can trust to do the right things that we just articulated, and you\u2019ve got players trusting the leadership \u2014 both with their manager and the GM and the ownership \u2014 you\u2019re going to have a winning organization for a long time.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/bostonrelocationinsider.com\/?p=875\">Closing Summer Street?
