So much for a post All-Star game lull.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Red Sox extended their winning streak to 11 after taking both games of a Friday doubleheader against the Rays. <\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s the team\u2019s longest win streak since 2016. No team has a better record than Boston\u2019s 19-5 mark since June 19.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Red Sox\u2019 pitching staff has allowed just nine runs in its last eight games. Boston moved to the .500 mark for the first time since March 28.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt means a lot,\u201d said interim manager Chad Tracy, who was named to his post on April 25, when the Red Sox were 10-17. \u201cWe talked a lot about the journey it\u2019s been and how rough things were, but the guys have come together and they\u2019re playing great baseball. … It\u2019s nice, but there\u2019s a long way to go.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Wilyer Abreu has nine games with multiple extra-base hits this season \u2014 including a pair of homers in Game 2 of Friday\u2019s doubleheader \u2014 but plenty of other Red Sox are feeling good during this stretch.<\/span><\/p>\n
