He had previously held several positions in the organization, including senior vice president of business administration, assistant coach, and development coach.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Sabres fired Adams after a 14-14-4 start last season. Buffalo went on to win the Atlantic Division and beat the Bruins in the first round of the playoffs before losing to the Canadiens in the second round.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span> Adams never played for the Bruins, but did play 540 regular-season games in the NHL with the Maple Leafs, Blue Jackets, Panthers, Hurricanes, Coyotes, and Blackhawks. He traded JJ Peterka from the Sabres to the Mammoth last summer and also was with Buffalo during Casey Mittelstadt and Henri Jokiharju\u2019s tenure in Western New York.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Bonvie had been the Bruins\u2019 director of pro scouting after serving as a scout.
