It was the second fatal shooting in a week involving an ICE agent firing into a vehicle. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The department said agents were conducting surveillance of the last known address of an individual who had been ordered to leave the country. ICE tried to conduct a vehicle stop, DHS said, and the 26-year-old Colombian man attempted to flee, when an agent shot and killed him. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span>Questions remain about whether the man who was shot was the intended target of the arrest warrant, and the New York Times reported that Maine Governor Janet Mills and the city\u2019s mayor have called for a full investigation of the killing. Healey joined her voice with theirs Tuesday, demanding an investigation and \u201caccountability.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cI spoke to Governor Mills yesterday and last evening,\u201d Healey said Tuesday. \u201cThis has got to end.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/bostonrelocationinsider.com\/?p=4954\">MLBPA\u2019s Bruce Meyer, MLB commissioner Rob Manfred interrupt All-Star game fun with dire CBA talk<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span>Healey\u2019s comments on Tuesday echoed those she made after ICE agents shot and killed Ren\u00e9e Good and Alex Pretti in Minnesota earlier this year. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cI\u2019ve said this for a long time, ICE and Trump \u2014 they need to call ICE back,\u201d the governor said Tuesday. \u201cWhat is happening is so, it\u2019s so predictable. You\u2019ve got people out there not trained, not wearing body cameras. They\u2019re going after individuals, we\u2019ve seen time and time again, they shouldn\u2019t be going after.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>She reiterated that as the state\u2019s former attorney general, she used to work with federal agencies including ICE, but drew a distinction between \u201cput[ting] away bad guys\u201d and \u201cwhat is happening right now.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cHow is it that you have an individual shot dead in that manner, in front of his wife, his child, and all ICE can say is, \u2018Sorry, we got the wrong guy.\u2019 That\u2019s not good law enforcement, folks.
