He opted for the Hokies and coach James Franklin over Georgia and a host of other Div. 1 heavyweights.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In a text message, Rob Bourque, Peter\u2019s father, confirmed to the Globe that his son committed to the Hokies after a \u201cfew wild weeks\u201d and is \u201cfired up.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span>The elder Bourque noted that Georgia was \u201cright there\u201d and \u201cso hard to say no to.\u201d Penn State was also involved until Bourque made his call.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/bostonrelocationinsider.com\/?p=373\">Celtics hire former player Isaiah Thomas as pro and college scout<\/a><\/p>\n<div><span>Related<span>: <\/span><\/span>Tabor quarterback Peter Bourque could be the next big thing in college football<\/div>\n<p><span>The Hingham resident is listed as the No. 86 recruit and No. 7 quarterback in the Class of 2027 by 247sports.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The 6-foot-5, 200-pound signal-caller led Tabor to a 9-0 season, capped by a triumph in the NEPSAC John Papas Bowl.
