The Sox beat the Yankees again Saturday afternoon at Fenway Park, 4-1, for a third win in a row, matching their longest winning streak of the season.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jake Bennett limited New York to one run and three hits in 6\u2153 innings, the first time in his professional career, majors or minors, that he lasted into a seventh inning. The rookie lefthander struck out three and walked two.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Red Sox starting pitchers have tossed quality starts \u2014 at least six innings, no more than three earned runs \u2014 in 10 consecutive games. That is a staff\u2019s longest such streak since 1988, when the starters reeled off 14 in a row.<\/span><\/p>\n

As is historically the case, the Red Sox scored early and often against Yankees ace Gerrit Cole, torching him for four runs and seven hits in 5\u2153 innings. He struck out five and walked one.<\/span><\/p>\n
