Lokedi earned $12,000 for the victory.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>It was a Kenyan sweep, as Patrick Kiprop bested South Africa\u2019s Adriaan Wildschutt by five seconds, winning in a time of 27:55 on the men\u2019s side.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/bostonrelocationinsider.com\/?p=3270\">Serena Williams will play singles at Wimbledon after accepting a wild card invitation<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span>Kiprop was 10 seconds behind Andrew Alexander halfway through the course. By the 8K mark, Kiprop was in a field of five before he made his move with a strong kick.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The top American men\u2019s finisher was Ahmed Muhumed, who placed fifth in 28:20.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>American Tatyana McFadden blazed away from the field to win the women\u2019s wheelchair division in 23:59. Two-time Boston Marathon winner Daniel Romanchuk took home the men\u2019s wheelchair title with a time of 19:53, a new event record.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>It was McFadden\u2019s second title and Romanchuk\u2019s third at the event.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The 6.2-mile trek through Boston and Cambridge consisted of 9,883 finishers.
