All three games in the weekend set are scheduled to see the Sox roll out a southpaw.<\/span><\/p>\n

The situation worked well for the Red Sox on Friday night as Ranger Suarez allowed one hit over 6 2\/3 scoreless innings in Boston\u2019s 6-2 victory that snapped the Red Sox\u2019s four-game losing streak.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cHe was amazing. I could smell the no-hitter,\u201d Red Sox catcher Carlos Narvaez said in a postgame interview on NESN. \u201cHe was controlling the zone and mixing everything.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Suarez said he jinxed himself in trying to throw Boston\u2019s first no-hitter since Jon Lester accomplished the feat in 2008.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I was going into the seventh inning, it was the first time I thought about it,\u201d Suarez said through an interpreter. \u201cOnce I realized that I was thinking about it, I knew it wasn\u2019t going to happen. The first (six) innings, I was pitching well and I wasn\u2019t thinking about it. Once I started thinking about it, it didn\u2019t go the way I wanted.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
