Maybe some time away will do the Red Sox good.<\/span><\/p>\n

After dropping a 4-3 decision on Thursday against the Blue Jays to to extend their losing streak to four games, the Sox are heading west for a six-game road trip at Seattle and Colorado.<\/span><\/p>\n

They will open a three-game series with the Mariners Friday with lefthander Ranger Suarez on the mound.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Seattle, which is in first place in the AL West, will counter with righthander Bryce Miller and will be piggybacked by fellow starter Luis Castillo. <\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s a system the Mariners employed in May and are trying again with their six-man rotation as they have four off-days in the 28 days leading into the All-Star break. Ideally, the initial starter is limited to five innings, while the other could pitch four in relief.<\/span><\/p>\n
