BALTIMORE \u2014 Kyle Bradish pitched six one-hit innings, Adley Rutschman homered and the Orioles beat the Yankees, 7-0, on Wednesday afternoon after New York lost lefthander Max Fried to a sore elbow.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fried was pulled after only three innings with the score 3-0. He is expected to be examined by the team physician Thursday.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fried headed straight up the tunnel after the Orioles scored twice in the third inning, and the Yankees had Paul Blackburn warming in the bullpen while batting in the fourth. Fried allowed three runs and five hits.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In his previous start at Milwaukee, he permitted five runs in six innings.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Yankees outscored the Orioles 39-10 while sweeping four straight from them earlier this month, but Baltimore rebounded by taking two of three in this series. Wednesday was the first shutout of the season for the Orioles, who were the final team to pitch one.<\/span><\/p>\n

New York has lost five of six games.<\/span><\/p>\n
