WORCESTER \u2013 Denied in 2021, again in 2022, and 2023, and 2025, the BC High lacrosse team finally earned its ring.<\/span><\/p>\n

Following Tuesday\u2019s thrilling overtime semifinal win over rival St. John\u2019s Prep, the Eagles used a tenacious defensive effort to stymy top-seeded Lincoln-Sudbury early, then held on for a thrilling 10-9 victory on a steamy Friday afternoon at Worcester State\u2019s Coughlin Field, securing the program\u2019s second Division 1 state title, but first since 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n

BC High had fallen short in six state finals since 2016, twice to L-S, and four times to Prep since 2021. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve been in these games before so we know the feeling, we know how to prepare,\u201d said BC High senior Murphy Belvin. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBut this was a different year. We knew we were going to pull through. This is euphoric. It\u2019s the only thing you dream about since freshman year. We work at such a high standard that this is the only expectation.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
