Righthander <b>Garrett Whitlock<\/b> (left knee inflammation) threw a bullpen session on Tuesday and appears likely to be ready for activation from the IL when eligible on June 9 . . . Righthander <b>Kutter Crawford<\/b>, who\u2019d increased his throwing distance to 120 feet on flat ground, is dealing with what Tracy characterized as \u201ca little bit of soreness\u201d in his forearm, putting a pause in his throwing program . . . The Red Sox hired <b>Caleb Berry<\/b> \u2014 briefly a minor leaguer in their system last year, who\u2019d been interning at Driveline \u2014 as a hitting coach in the Dominican Summer League. They also hired <b>Kevin Kies <\/b>as a hitting coach for their Florida Complex League team.
