Looks like a cruel summer in New England, with yet another report that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce plan to make their love story official elsewhere.<\/span><\/p>\n

The latest tip came from an unconventional source:Rhode Island Senator Sheldon Whitehouse via TMZ. The senator told the celebrity gossip outlet Tuesday that he believes Swift \u201cpassed\u201d on getting married in the Ocean State to her fianc\u00e9 and NFL star.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know about that, I think that she gave Rhode Island a pass,\u201d Whitehouse told TMZ\u2019s Charlie Cotton, who asked the Democrat about the global pop star\u2019s rumored nuptials later this month. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cBut I hope so, I\u2019d love to have her in Rhode Island,\u201d Whitehouse added.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rumors previously spread that Swift and Kelce were looking at tying the knot at the Ocean House in Watch Hill, not far from Swift\u2019s vacation home in Westerly. Late last year, the beachfront resort squashed reports that Swift had paid off a bride to get her June 13 wedding date at the venue. (True Swifties know the significance of 13 to the artist.)<\/span><\/p>\n
