Watch all the best moments."},"content":{"rendered":"<article>\n<div>\n<p><span>Matt Damon brought a bit of Boston to the Big Apple for his latest turn hosting \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d this weekend, with Vermont crooner Noah Kahan adding to the New England vibes as the episode\u2019s musical guest.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/bostonrelocationinsider.com\/?p=7\">UAE reports drone and missile attack as Iran war cease-fire is challenged<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span>The evening\u2019s cold open kicked off with Damon once again playing Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, joining \u201cSNL\u201d cast member Colin Jost as Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and comedian Aziz Ansari as FBI Director Kash Patel for a round of drinks at a Washington D.C. tavern.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cOrder. I find in favor of six Bud Lights and three shots of Jame-O,\u201d Damon said as Kavanaugh while joining Jost\u2019s Hegseth at the bar. The pair chat about their recent accomplishments (Jost\u2019s Hegseth touts starting a war, while Damon\u2019s Kavanaugh quips about ending abortion rights), with Ansari\u2019s Patel later entering the scene (with his own branded bourbon) to take the party to another level. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span>Damon\u2019s Kavanaugh goes on to tell his new pals \u201csomething top secret.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWe\u2019re gonna let Trump do a third term,\u201d Damon said as Kavanaugh, causing Jost\u2019s Hegseth and Ansari\u2019s Patel to scream with excitement. As the bartender, played by Kenan Thompson, tells the trio that it\u2019s time for last call, the political figures and other bar patrons then break out singing the boozy lyrics of Chumbawamba\u2019s \u201cTubthumping\u201d as the skit ends.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Damon\u2019s opening monologue was short and sweet, offering a flattering \u201cpersonal message\u201d to the moms out there just in time for Mother\u2019s Day, while also promoting his upcoming role in \u201cThe Odyssey.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span>Other highlights from the episode included Damon playing a Navy admiral in a \u201cGodzilla\u201d movie, a charming husband in a mom-themed rom-com trailer, and a concerned dad in a cat litter commercial. <\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span>Later in the episode, he portrayed an awkward teacher who tries to win over his students by dancing, and in another skit, wore a cowboy hat and mustache while playing a fast-talking auctioneer in a crumbling marriage to another auctioneer.<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span>No stranger to Studio 8H, Damon\u2019s latest \u201cSNL\u201d appearance marked his third time hosting the show, which he previously hosted in 2002 and 2018. The Cambridge native has made quite a few cameos over the years as well, including his first time playing Kavanaugh in 2018, and most recently, in 2024, during a sketch about Kristen Wiig\u2019s induction into the show\u2019s \u201cFive-Timers Club\u201d where he suggested he deserved the ceremonial jacket because his two hosting efforts were so good. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Meanwhile, the new episode was Kahan\u2019s second time serving as a musical guest, having previously appeared on the show in 2023.
