After dropping another series at home with Thursday\u2019s 10-2 loss to the Braves, the Red Sox are in Cleveland to open a three-game series with the Guardians.<\/span><\/p>\n

The loss dropped the Sox to 1-7-1 in series play at Fenway Park, and 5-12-1 overall.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lefthander Tyler Samaniego, who was recalled from Worcester on Thursday after Garrett Whitlock was placed on the 15-day injured list with inflammation in his left knee, will open Friday\u2019s game for the Sox. Righthander Brayan Bello will follow out of the bullpen.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Guardians, who reside in first place in the AL Central and own the third-best record in the AL, will counter with righthander Slade Cecconi.<\/span><\/p>\n
