Globe Top 20 baseball poll: Walpole cracks Top 5, Taunton keeps climbing

BC High maintains its perch for the third straight week, with the Eagles also holding the current top spot in the . They’ve won six straight, and their only two losses came by a run.

Taunton moves up to No. 2, swapping spots with No. 3 St. John’s (Shrewsbury), with the Tigers continuing their winning ways with a strong week, including a 1-0 win over No. 15 King Philip.

Walpole returns to the top 5 at No. 4, and No. 7 St. Mary’s, No. 8 Reading, and No. 10 Milton each hit new high ranks for the year. No. 14 Cambridge is up three spots in the back half, having not lost since April 27.

New entrants include two returners, No. 18 Winchester and No. 19 Wellesley, and No. 20 Hamilton-Wenham, which had its undefeated bid came to an end but boasted an impressive takedown of Division 3 contender North Reading this past Friday.
