The decision is in: LeBron James is signing with the 76ers
With the NBA world awaiting his decision, LeBron James has chosen his next — and potentially final — destination.
The 41-year-old four-time MVP is reportedly signing with the 76ers, teaming up with Joel Embiid, Jaylen Brown, and Tyrese Maxey to further solidify Philadelphia as a true powerhouse.
James, a 21-time All-NBA selection, joins his fourth franchise after telling the Lakers that he would not re-sign with the team this offseason.
James took to social media and penned a heartfelt statement.
“I believe I can help make the Philadelphia 76ers a championship team and I am so excited to energize a new fan base and start this incredible journey one last time,” James wrote on X.

James will embark on his 24th season after being selected first in the 2003 NBA Draft. The St. Vincent-St. Mary product from Akron, Ohio, holds a number of NBA records, including all-time scoring leader, most All-Star selections, and most minutes played. He has been an All-Star selection every season aside from his rookie year.
The 76ers, who bounced the Celtics unceremoniously in the first round of the playoffs, pushed their chips into the center this offseason. The addition of Brown and James takes a roster that already featured Embiid, Maxey, and promising guard VJ Edgecombe to the next level.
