Game 100: Red Sox look to match franchise-record 15th straight win against Orioles

After rallying for a 6-5 win in their series opener against the Orioles Monday, the Red Sox will have a chance to match the franchise record of 15 consecutive wins when the teams meet again on Tuesday.

Caleb Durbin was the hero, blasting a home run in the eighth to give the Sox the lead.

The Sox are averaging 5.9 runs per game during the 14-game winning streak, which is the second longest in team history. They won 15 games in a row in 1946.

Interim manager Chad Tracy said after Monday’s win that Ranger Suarez would be activated from the 15-day injured list and will get the start. The lefthander has been out since July 5 with a left groin strain but was able to complete fielding drills Monday afternoon.

The Orioles will counter with Kyle Bradish.
