Revolution extend defender Peyton Miller, keeping one of their finest homegrown products under team control
Peyton Miller, the brightest homegrown talent on a Revolution team amid a strong season, agreed to a multi-year contract extension on Tuesday.

The Connecticut native, 18 and periodically mentioned as an interest of major European clubs, signed through the 2028-29 MLS season with an additional team option for 2029-30.
“Peyton Miller is one of the most promising players our pro pathway has produced and a tremendous example to all the young players rising through our program today,” general manager Chris Tierney said in a release. “Peyton has been a reliable presence in our first team for more than two years and he is still maturing as a player each and every day. We are excited to help continue his development here at the club he grew up supporting.”
Miller has become a regular on the left side for New England, with 48 league appearances since debuting as a 16-year-old in July 2024. He joined the Revolution Academy’s residency program in 2021, made his professional debut in March 2023, then became New England’s youngest-ever signing at 15 three months later.
Miller made MLS’s 22 Under 22 team the last two seasons, and has 20 appearances across the Under-17, Under-18, and Under-20 national teams, playing for current Revolution coach Marko Mitrovic at last year’s Under-20 World Cup.
“He’s one of the highest potential players that we have within our US Soccer landscape,” Mitrovic said in May. “But on the other side, I also know that there is a long way to go for Peyton, and there’s a lot of work ahead of him to reach his highest potential.”

The primary knock on Miller has been health. He has been dogged by lower-body injuries with the Revolution and didn’t start any of this season’s first eight games, delayed by a preseason calf issue. He played the full 90 minutes in the final six before the World Cup break, however, and has been key both offensively and defensively.
Shuffled between left back and left wing by Mitrovic, Miller has scored three of his five Revolution goals this season, tying him with Luca Langoni for second on the team behind Carles Gil’s five.
“He gives me a lot of freedom for the most part,” Miller said of Mitrovic earlier this season. “He gives me the most freedom I can have.”
MLS returns from its World Cup break on Thursday. The Revolution (8-5-1, 25 points) play their next two matches at Gillette Stadium, which will have its artificial surface back in place in time for Toronto FC’s visit on July 22.
