Game 92: Red Sox at Mets lineups and notes
Life on the road seems to agree with the Red Sox.
With Thursday afternoon’s 2-1 win over the White Sox, Boston improved to 6-0 on this nine-game road trip, having completed consecutive sweeps at Anaheim and Chicago.

“We’re just playing winning baseball,” said third baseman Caleb Durbin, whose two-run homer provided the offense Thursday. “I think we’ve been close for a while but were just on the wrong side of it. Now we’re on the right side of it and you could feel the momentum around the clubhouse.”
They will look to keep it going when they open a three-game series at the Mets, who reside in last place in the NL East, 14 games below .500.
But just as the Red Sox are becoming worth of tuning in, fans will have to work a little harder to do so. Friday’s series opener at Citi Field is on Apple TV.
A pair of righthanders will open the series, with Sonny Gray looking for his 11th in in his final start before the All-Star break, while the Mets will counter with Nolan McLean.
Here is a preview.
