Brennan Loud, Cambridge — The senior accounted for 22 kills and 20 digs, as the Falcons defeated nonleague foe Newton North in four sets.
Baylor Mandell, Newton South — With a team-leading 20 kills and the Lions’ second-best in digs (8) and passer rating (2.38), the sophomore was crucial in taking down Westfield, the , in five sets.
Asher Meyers-Light, Milton — The senior dished 24 assists, with 15 digs, 2 blocks, and 2 aces to power the Wildcats to a sweep of Bay State Herget Division defending champ Braintree, which had swept them earlier in the season.
Zach O’Donnell, Wayland — Though Agawam has moved up to Division 1 this year, the Warriors got revenge for last year’s D2 championship anyway, thanks to the junior’s 49 assists and two aces in four sets to pace the Warriors. He added 43 assists and eight kills in a 3-1 win over surging league opponent Cambridge too.
Otavio Perks, O’Bryant — A milestone (900 kills), a team record, and a win over a ranked team with only one prior loss? The senior did it all with 19 kills in a four-set win over Greater New Bedford in a nonleague tilt.
Will Rozman, Needham — The Rockets promoted Rozman to varsity as a junior mid-season last year and he stuck. He continues to pay dividends for that move, logging team-highs of 16 kills in a 3-1 victory over Natick and 17 more in a sweep in Brookline.
