After a day off, the Red Sox will resume their road trip when they open a three-game series with the White Sox Tuesday.

The Sox have won eight of their last 10 and are coming off a three-game sweep of the Angels in Anaheim. They are still eight games below .500 and in last place in the AL East, but sit just ½ game behind the Blue Jays and Orioles.

The White Sox split a four-game series with the Guardians over the weekend to hold on to first place in the AL Central.

Tuesday’s contest will be a matchup of rookie lefthanders. The Red Sox will go with Payton Tolle, while Chicago will counter with Noah Schultz.
