Watch: Matt Damon goes full ‘Odyssey,’ sneaks onto ‘Kimmel’ in a mini Trojan horse
The battle between Matt Damon and Jimmy Kimmel continued on Thursday night, as the Oscar winner took a page from “The Odyssey” to finally get one over on the late-night host.

In the latest episode of their ongoing “feud,” Damon snuck onto the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” stage in a miniature version of a Trojan horse, popping out to surprise Kimmel during his monologue.
“The horse is here, and there’s no takebacks [expletive],” Damon exclaimed as he burst out of his equine confines. “I did it. I am here baby.”
As part of their years-long running gag, Kimmel and Damon tend to butt heads, whether it’s on the Oscars stage, answering trivia questions on “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire,” or the comedian’s late-night series. While the actor’s best pal Ben Affleck has no trouble getting guest spots on the show, Kimmel has basically barred Damon from ever appearing, but the Cambridge native and “The Odyssey” star finally made it happen on Thursday night.
“I have traveled far and wide through waves and war to save this audience from mediocrity,” Damon proclaimed to the studio audience, who welcomed the actor with a standing ovation.

Comparing Damon’s intrusion to a crime, Kimmel questioned him over how long he was hiding in the horse — with the actor simply replying, “Did the Knicks win?” — and why he was on the stage at all.
“What does it look like, dumbass? I’m on your show. I’m promoting a new movie,” Damon told Kimmel, referencing his upcoming appearance in director Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey.”
“Is it called ‘We Bought a Horse?’” Kimmel quipped.
The duo proceeded to have a war of words before taking up pool noodles and whacking each other with them, with Damon getting in a cheap shot after they tired themselves out.
“I just want to say, seriously, thanks for having me on your show,” Damon said, with Kimmel quickly replying, “I didn’t have you on the show.”
