From the start to the end of the season, Taunton held the top spot in the Top 20.

The Tigers tallied three regular-season wins by a single run, including two in extra innings — but an overpowering attack fueled Taunton to its sixth straight Division 1 crown, and third consecutive season without an in-state loss.

The No. 2 spot belongs to Joseph Case, which secured its fourth straight state title and its first in Division 3 after losing just twice in the regular season. At No. 3 is King Philip, which outscored foes, 58-1, in the postseason to capture the title in its first season in D2. Division 1 runner-up Attleboro finishes No. 4, and Division 3 finalist Apponequet and semifinalists Dighton-Rehoboth and Norton take the next three spots.

D-R, which won the loaded South Coast Conference, was 13-0 against all league opponents except Apponequet, including in the D3 semifinals. No. 8 Central Catholic was unbeaten prior to an 11-inning defeat to Attleboro in the Division 1 semis, and No. 9 Somerset Berkley, another strong South Coast program, reached its first Division 2 final.
