The Tartan Army has swept through Boston, making an indelible presence in the city for more than a week. Boston and Glasgow are now officially sister cities, so who better to celebrate the Scots than a pair of Patriots legends?

Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski appeared on Fox’s pregame show wearing kilts, accompanied by a man playing bagpipes.

Edelman and Gronkowski applauded the Scots’ drinking prowess after they drank some Boston bars out of beer over the last week.

“The last time it happened was after we won the Super Bowl in 2015 against the Seattle Seahawks,” quipped Gronkowski.

Edelman and Gronkowski also joined the Tartan Army in Boston Common, chanting “No Scotland, no party” and parading through the streets with kilt-adorning visitors.

When shown on Fox ahead of Scotland’s match against Morocco, analyst Zlatan Ibrahimović weighed in.

“Hopefully they don’t get too drunk,” said Ibrahimović, with a smile.
