Game 60: Orioles at Red Sox lineups and notes

A return to Fenway Park also marked a return to their losing ways for the Red Sox, who lost their series opener to the Orioles, 4-2, Tuesday night.

That dropped the Sox to 9-20 at home, the worst in MLB. They have lost 12 of their last 16 home games and nine of their last 11.

“It’s obvious. We’ve played so well on the road, and it’s been a struggle here,” said Red Sox interim manager Chad Tracy.

Payton Tolle will get the start for the Sox Wednesday. The lefthander recorded 16 strikeouts in 10⅔ innings in his last two starts, both no-decisions.

The Orioles will counter with Chris Bassitt. The righthander allowed just one hit in six innings against the Blue Jays his last time out, but did not get a decision.
