Globe Top 20 boys’ lacrosse poll: Before the postseason, a final ranking

The MIAA tournament kicks into gear Thursday and we have one last edition of the Globe’s Top 20 boys’ lacrosse poll to cap the regular season.

While Lincoln-Sudbury is the top seed in Division 1, five-time defending champion St. John’s Prep gets the final nod atop our poll (with a head-to-head win vs. L-S).

Defending D2 champion Billerica moves up to the third spot after capping the season with a win over BC High. Mansfield abdicated to the No. 6 spot after ending the season with a loss at Acton-Boxborough. Bishop Feehan and Andover ended the season with lots of momentum, while Winchester, Marshfield, Medfield, and Hingham struggled down the stretch.

Dracut is one spot behind Norwell in the poll but has secured the top seed in D3 and Cohasset is the top seed and a favorite to navigate the D4 bracket. Falmouth, another D3 contender, returns to the poll at No. 18 and Shawsheen holds the final spot after winning the vocational school title.
